A Life Marked By Magic

My first clear communication with Spirit..

I was born into a white, Midwestern, previously protestant family with parents who were scientists and medical doctors. Raised in San Francisco on daily doses of Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers, I grew up believing kindness toward all and celebrating cultural differences was simply normal.

As a child, I knew I was magical. I talked to animals. I thought of things and they would happen. Yet in a family that held spelling bees for fun, I grew up believing I was “dumb” because I hated to read. Eventually a professional told my parents: “She’s super smart—she just thinks differently than 98% of the population.” It turns out I think in pictures, not words—an ability that would later become the foundation of my psychic mediumship.

By the time I was nine, I’d survived seven abdominal surgeries in nine days after a ruptured appendix and a rare, life-threatening infection. In and out of consciousness, I saw a man in the TV box watching over me, keeping me company. My first clear communication with Spirit.

The trauma, stress, and cultural conditioning of my youth led me to forget I was magical. Like many teens in the 80s, I turned to drinking, smoking, and distraction. But at 19, I admitted I was addicted—and that was the beginning of my spiritual path. Through therapy, twelve-step practice, yoga, and seeking, I moved through the pain of abandonment, dysfunction, and trauma toward healing, integration, and self-love.

From Clinical Practice to Clairvoyance

I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2001 and became licensed as a psychologist in 2003. My dissertation focused on the relationship between spirituality and substance abuse in adolescents—long before spirituality was taken seriously in academic research.

Over the years, I’ve served as a clinical psychologist, a college instructor, and even a dean overseeing a multi-million-dollar budget and more than 200 faculty and staff. My academic work honors both Indigenous wisdom traditions and the scientific method—because there are many ways of knowing.

Meanwhile, I was secretly studying meditation and psychic development. In 2011, I completed a Clairvoyant Intuitive Training program and was ordained as a reverend at the Church of Aesclepion Healing. In 2016, a traumatic brain injury from a bicycle crash became the catalyst for a new way of living—“from the inside out,” where everything I do is in service to the One.

In 2019, I began a daily communication practice with my spirit guide Meera. Together, we wrote Spirit Guided, forthcoming in 2026. Today, I continue my studies in tantric yoga with Layla Martin, deepening into the sacred vibration of lifeforce energy.

The Bridge Between Science and Spirit

I am fluent in both languages

I can talk with you about your twin flame, your galactic family, or your astral body—and also about attachment theory, the vagus nerve, and brain circuitry networks.

I hold safe, ethical space with the training of a psychologist and the reverence of a minister.

I believe in both/and healing: the best of Western medicine alongside Indigenous wisdom, plant medicine, and energetic practices.

All Of Me, In Service To You

I’m the geeky nerd who can teach research methods and statistics, the boss bitch who manages multi-million-dollar budgets, and the visionary who has built buildings from the ground up with golden shovels.

AND the author weaving sexy brain science with spirit guide wisdom, the mother of two thriving adults, the compassionate heart tender to human suffering, the high priestess holding sacred space for transformation—and yes, the surfer riding the hardest waves. All of me is in service to you.

I am here to serve the One.

Everything I speak, say, and do—even getting dressed in the morning—is for the Oneness we share. If you feel called to walk this path with me, I’d be honored to support your journey.
